I lost my oldest bestest female friend to cancer about 20 years ago. I still miss her but I remember the fun we had together as teen agers and young adults in our early 20s and hang onto those memories. That's all any of us can do when we lose friends and the older you get, the more friends you lose. How do you get over this!? When it’s people I don’t really know that well or talk to much it’s one thing (still sad but…) but this… this is different. A lot different. This one hurts.![]()
Thank you!!!!!! This is helpful.I lost my oldest bestest female friend to cancer about 20 years ago. Look forward. Cherish the memories, honor her memory. Live your life fully each and every day because none of us know when it is going to be our turn. I Know it hurts but you will get over the grief.
I've lost a child so I can understand grief! It is so sad, but eventually time moves on and you move on. 23 years later I still get sad and emotional about her, but my life has moved and grown on, and I can't change what has happened. The grief is real and it will be there you just learn to keep living. LORD JESUS is my peace that passes all understanding and without Him I would have never gotten over it and beyond weeping in my bed or going down a very dangerous path. She would not want you to live the rest of your life sad. She would want you to love LORD JESUS and spread His love and salvation with others! I'm so sorry you lost a friend though. How do you get over this!? When it’s people I don’t really know that well or talk to much it’s one thing (still sad but…) but this… this is different.
