How do you get over this!? When it’s people I don’t really know that well or talk to much it’s one thing (still sad but…) but this… this is different. A lot different. This one hurts.

I lost my oldest bestest female friend to cancer about 20 years ago. I still miss her but I remember the fun we had together as teen agers and young adults in our early 20s and hang onto those memories. That's all any of us can do when we lose friends and the older you get, the more friends you lose.

Look forward. Cherish the memories, honor her memory. Live your life fully each and every day because none of us know when it is going to be our turn. I Know it hurts but you will get over the grief.

Hey, remember I posted a pic the other day of Shadow chortling to one of the pullets while she was laying her egg on the floor of the coop? Well today when I went in to clean, there were four pretty little brown eggs in that spot! Apparently he's convincing more of the BA that that's the best nesting spot (only two more to go!). Now if he'd only get the Ameraucanas to start as well, lol!
