I am so glad to see this post! One of my girls just started laying this week, she has had one small and one large double yolker, so when we found the GIANT egg in the nest box we thought "WoW! maybe 4 yolks in that one!"

It turned out to be an egg inside an egg and I was getting really worried about her. This is just her first week!

Today, however, a nice small normal looking egg!

Incidentally, this may explain the odd phenomenon called "turducken." They have to come from somewhere, right?
