egg is not fertile

That's what I will do then. Does it matter if I get eggs that are a different breed?

She won't care about the breed. Neighbor of mine put duck eggs under one of my broody hens. When they hatched she treated them the same as she would treat a chick.

I know this is going to sound stupid, but how do you know that the egg isn't fertile? has she been sitting on it over a week so that you could candle it?
