Egg issues

OK I was candling some eggs this evening and stopped because I purchased these rare chicken eggs to incubate. Apparently these eggs are never candled before sales because upon Candling them I found 2 of these eggs not only with an air pocket but either air or water looking something moving around in the white of the eggs ( No air bubbles.) So please tell me I did not loose 2 of my very rare chickens.... very sad because if seller would have candled them before selling them it was something that could have been caught.

What did you see or not see? Sometimes eggs get scrambled internally during shipment. I have gotten a whole order that was messed up and none hatched. Shipped eggs always comes with the risks.

It either looked like it had water in it or a moving air pocket. I contacted the seller because I have gone to pick up eggs before and saw this in one egg. However that one had air bubbles and you could tell it had a weak shell. But the shell on these seemed fine and they where rare black chicken eggs that cost me $22 for 4 of them. Next time I think if I get a rare bird like this I will go pick it up....So disappointed. I lost 2 of the eggs and now I think only one is fertile.... I am going to probably order more or find a local dealer. I ended up removing them because you could hear them like it was filled with nothing but water. So sad.

What I understand about shipped eggs from being on BYC is more often than not the air cell will at least partially detach in shipping. Before starting to incubate the eggs you need to let them rest pointy end down in an egg carton for 24 hours or so. This will help the air cells reattach.

Detached air cells happen during shipping sometimes unfortunately. I have had zero luck hatching them.

I disposed of them. Someone told me they where bad and could explode. Thats not a chance I can take.
