Egg laid in wet muddy run - clean and put in fridge?

One of our hens (I believe a first time layer) laid an egg in the run. It is raining and the part of the run where she laid the egg is muddy. Do I just wipe off the egg and put it in the basket on the counter with the others or since it was wet put it in the fridge assuming the bloom was washed off? Horrible wet weather here!

Our hens just started laying last Friday. Today we have had 4 eggs. We have 12 hens. Hoping for more eggs! (just not in the muddy run)

I put mine in the fridge, I just got in the habit of doing that after finding dirty eggs here there and everywhere really in all weathers xx
