I'm contemplating the possibility of a few layer ducks, but having trouble finding a source. Homestead blogs and other articles say Campbells and runners will lay 300 eggs/year, but the hatcheries I know list their stock of those breeds as producing about half that. What's a realistic eggspectation, and where should I look for ducklings? In Connecticut if that helps.
Hens go broody when you don’t want them to… and won’t go broody when you do.
Largest selection of ducks and they carry 2 hybrid layer strains.
