Ok, I had it backward! I thought everyone went to gather eggs in the morning! Movies, maybe!
But, also I haven't gotten any eggs from my girls yet so now I'll keep the boxes open after I let them out for the day and close them before they come in for the night...till they don't want to sleep in the boxes. Plus, now I can put the "all flock" crumbles out and a bowl of oyster shell for the girls, right? I don't put layer out due to the boys, if I got it right. How would I be sure the eggs are not fertile when they do start laying? Or...could they be and I just gather them each day. Gotta say, the thought of eating fertile eggs is a bit of a gag
thought for me! LOL!
