Egg laying and diet question

Hi! I think it is the heat, too. I have walked all around the pen, but other than an occasional egg on the ground, have not found any hidden nests. I search the yard about every other day. Very frustrating, for sure! Several of these hens are reputed to be 'excellent' egg layers through heat and cold, but sure not seeing the results. This weather has been totally intolerable here this year, but they have shade, mist, a fan in the coop, etc. Maybe it is the heat! It has been a bit cooler the last week or so, but we are heading back for temps over 100 and high humidity the next several days. Sheesh!

You may want to start another thread in the egglaying forum asking for more input. You probably won't receive much more here. Also people in the same heat will obviously be better equipped to answer heat questions.

On a seperate note my extended family reunion was/is held in Hutchinson. At least it was 20 years ago.

Good luck
