Egg laying question

It depends on breeds, but they definitely may have started laying. Egg size, color, and quality tends to vary wildly for the first few, then even out as the hen gets all the kinks out of her system. You can tell who's laying because the layer will have a redder comb and wattles, will start squatting, and showing interest in making nests. If you have late laying breeds and it's a TINY tiny egg, I'd look to see if there's any way a small bird could get into the coop.
