I bought some RIR'S from a farm. They are laying eggs already. I was getting eggs every day from all six. Now I am down to four a day. I lost one girl to a fox but I am wondering how I can tell which on is not laying. Any suggestions? I know I can try to separate them but is there any other way?

just wait and check on them when they are squaking and ready to be laying eggs tomorrow around 10 o clock a.m., you may find which ones lay and then put a rubber band on the foot of the ones you witness laying and you will then figure it out. do this for several days and you should notice which one is not laying. It may change every day because rhode island reds do not lay every day ,maybe 1 out of every 2 or 3 days. good luck and have fun with your experiences with chickens
