Hi everyone,

We have 3 hens:

2- (coco, luna) 31 weeks

1- (Pinky) 23 weeks

Pinky was in and out of the nest box yesterday letting everyone know to stay out of her way as she was prepping to lay.

This morning 6.10am heard the egg noise for around 15mins.

Inside was an egg, egg shell a little soft but near enough perfect. There was another egg not fully formed.

Was wondering if this would've come off pinky also?

(Do apologise for the poop pic)

Or could it have been one of the others. Pinky is very dominant as she was the first with us with the first trio (rehomed rooster and cockerel).

As far as the pecking order goes she is the boss, so possible if she's the spokes person for the others also 😂🙈.

Many thanks

It could be the normal first egg. What are you feeding them? Do they have a side of oyster shells or another way they can get calcium?

Hi,

I thinkso🤞🏻.
They have oyster shells in 3 different areas within the run and the outter hut, 2 off the bowls are near their food and they are on layers pellets. Luna is going back and forth nest this morning same as what pinky was doing yesterday so she may be next to lay, vocal but not as vocal as pinky 😂🤞🏻🎉. Coco on the other hand isnt ready yet I don't think, haven't shown any signs.
