Egg laying temporarily suspended

My girls have been molting over the past few weeks so I’m assuming that’s why they’ve not been laying eggs for a while. This is their first hard molt and they are taking it very well. They’re almost done now so maybe in a week or so I should expect them to start laying again? Hope so anyway.

Maybe get a few, I have kept chickens for more than a decade, I almost get no eggs in December, mid January - a few more start coming in, by February, much improved.

My three girls started molting about three or four weeks ago and I haven't had an egg since then. Here in PA our temps are now down into the 30's and low 40's and it's dark by 5:15 PM. Only now does it appear that their feathers are staring to get full again, but I doubt whether I'll see any eggs until the spring...just my hunch.

I just got an egg tonight, about a month after my hens ended their molt. I think it was from my four-year-old White Rock.
