Egg Laying

During the winter months do all chickens stop laying or do some still lay. I have six chickens and so far all but 2 have quit. I was just wondering if they all quit? I guess then you have to buy eggs until they start laying again.

It depends on age, breed and whether you 7se supplemental lighting. Production breed birds in the first laying cycle tend to be less effected and often lay through without lughts. Mature birds that have had the first big molt are more likely to require lughts to support production.
