Egg laying

I have 7 hens that have been laying for about 7 months now, however I will often get an egg with no shell whatsoever. And also all of the hens are supposed to be brown egg layers, but 2 or 3 eggs are almost white at times, what could be the issue with this?

Thin or no shells can mean your hens aren't getting enough calcium in their diet. Do they have access to oyster shells? And are they eating layer feed? Stress can also cause shelless eggs.

Yes, they have oyster shells out all the time and they are on layer pellets.

Hmmm. Have they been stressed lately? Had any predator attacks? extreme temperatures, or change?

Any idea which bird is laying the softies?
Do you get a softie and an almost white egg on the same day?
Could be the same bird.
The almost white is because of the brown coating not getting applied.
Shelless eggs can have many causes....stress, disease, abnormal anatomy, etc.
If only one bird is laying 'bad' eggs, it's likely the bird and not the diet.
