egg laying

Like....when do they start laying. I have 3 females and I believe (think) they are all about 4 months now!

I'm just getting my first smaller eggs (still bigger than chicken) out of my Rouen/Mallards at 4m1w

When they feel like it! Days are getting shorter, which doesn't help the cause. I had one lay as late as 11 month, perfectly healthy. Try to be patient.

My 11 monther was a chicken though... my ducks were more like 5 months I think

Chickens or ducks? Some of my chickens started between 4 and 5 months but I am still waiting on a couple of them at nearly 6 months. So ... whenever thay are ready, I guess!

I have chickens and ducks. My chickens started laying 8 months I believe? but still waiting on my ducks!

I have pekin females that are just at 4 months and I am not positive but I am pretty sure I had ONE pekin egg the other day. My other girls all lay white/cream colored eggs but this one was huge and greenish but have not seen another one since. They lay when they are good and ready I have noticed.

My runner ducks didn't start laying until January and they were born the 1st of June. Both hatches, same thing. 7 months +

What breed are your ducks ? Onset of laying can vary greatly from breed to breed.
