egg laying

Depends on the breed, but generally pullets begin laying when they are 20-30 weeks. Some breeds are slower maturing than others. Males will crow whenever they feel like it. I've had some not crow until 15 weeks, my welsummer rooster began crowing at 4 DAYS old, and I hatched an Ameraucana boy that started crowing the day after he hatched.
