Egg looks like fat.

I came home today to find this (see pics)in my nesting box. It looks sort of like a glob of fat, sort of soft and rubbery.I cut it open and found some gel like stuff inside. I know it is some sort of egg gone wrong but, does this mean I may have a problem with one of my girls? This is from a ISA brown just a little over a year old and just getting over here first molt. all my 5 girls are very well taken care of—half acre to roam and play in lots of water, feed and bugs. Any ideas?

Most likely just a disruption of the egg-laying mechanism as she gets back into laying.

Oh that is very weird looking. Must have been slightly shocking to find.

Might be lash. It should be fine and she'll probably clear up and be back to normal laying.
