Well, I THOUGHT I had bought RIR. The hen looks like one (I posted another thread about this) but this was the egg she laid. I am lead to believe I got mutts!

If you still need a Barnevelder egg I will try to get a pic tomorrow. I have a mixed flock so I will have to really keep my eyes open for who is laying in what nest box. I'll try to catch one of the girls "in the act".
I'd like to give you a dark cornish egg pic but my 4yr old Teagan has quit laying. I saw her sitting in the nest box a day or two ago but nadda. She use to lay the prettiest dark pinkish brown eggs. They were always easy to tell apart fm everyone elses.
