Hello

I had an egg pip yesterday afternoon, could hear it chirping. From last night to now, no noise, no sign of breathing, the hole is pea sized and broken through the membrane. I can see feathers but not moving at all. Another hatchling has been jumping all over it and still nothing.
Usually I can see the membrane moving, or the beak. Anything I should do?

Do the feathers look wet or dry?

Most likely by this point though you know one way or the other. If it hasn't hatched by now, checking it out or attempting an assist is called for, if that's something you're up to doing. Some people aren't and that's perfectly fine too.

thanks for your reply, I decided to assist and seem to have a tired but healthy chick - time will tell

Give it time and dont b too hasty . I had ducks hatch today .some were very weak and stayed like that all day . It took about 16 hours before they even got to there feet but they r fine now once they got the batteries recharged. 🥳
