Egg pipped but not hatching after 6 hours help!!

At about 1:30 I noticed that one of my eggs had pipped, I checked it a lot through the hour, but nothing happened. In another 3 hours (or so) when nothing happened I opened the pip a bit. And then I opened the membrane just a little, And it's been 6 hours now since the pip and nothing has happened! When should I expect a hatch, or should I not expect one.

A chick will pip, then sleep for 8 hours. It sounds like your chick is fine to me. (But I could always be wrong.)

Chicks take 24 hours to go from pip to zip. They will take a rest break for a few hours before continuing their progress. What breed(s) are you hatching?

Glad you let nature take its course. I know from personal experience it's VERY hard to not want to help. It takes a lot of energy to hatch.
