I had a broody hen hatching eggs, after most of them hatched she just lefthe the last egg, and it had already piped i little so i tried to put in back under her but she keeps moving somewhere else, so I brought it in and put in a box with a lamp, then an hour later the pip got a little bigger and a little yolk started oozing out

Please help!

I am a first timer myself. But I think your little one is malaligned. I am not sure if you help them hatch or let nature take its course. I helped one yesterday and ties off the yolk just below the birds navel along with the umbilical cord and snipped the rest. The bird is doing well today. There is a link i will share and you should read it if you want to help

Here is the link. Your little one must have piped thru the yolk. With any luck, the majority has been absorbed. You may be able to save it. But working through the membrabes takes alot of time. I recomend you have bacitracin (put on any vessels that start to bleed heavily) and a warm wet wash cloth or paper towel. Like I said, i am a newbie but if you have any questions i can do my best to help.

I don't think that is a pip. I think mama may have pecked it or somehow crushed it a little. If fluid is oozing out, then I think it's a bad egg. It could have been infertile or an early quitter. Did you candle it?
