Thanks for all the help, y'all! Everybody seems to be taking a rest at the moment. Thankfully I have to leave for work in a couple of hours, so I will no longer be able to fret at the bator.
My head knows that I should leave the darn thing alone. Really, really I know that. It's just that they are so pitiful chipping away in there. Not to mention chirping away in there! At least when I try to mess with a broody hen to see what is going on they grumble and peck at me. Can someone develop a bator lock that grumbles and pecks? I need negative reinforcement to keep my hands off! ARGGG!!
