Egg pipped this morning..

Little beek is out, but nothing else happening. It's been like that for a few hours. I've had one die earlier this summer during hatching, I really want to avoid that, it's so sad!! Can I do anything?

It may just be resting before it zips.
Pipping takes a lot out of chicks.

I would watch and wait. Usually I do not intervene for atleast 24 hours.

Continue to be patient and really resist the urge to open up the incubator, as allowing moisture to escape can lead to the membrane drying and trapping the chick.

Earlier this summer I had a chick with just the beak out for a while. I started to get worried, but held off. I literally went to take a shower and in the time I was in the shower (like 10 minutes) it went from beak out to fully hatched!
