Egg price?

My neighbor wants to buy a dozen fertilized barred rock eggs from me. I will gladly sell them to her, but I dont know how much I should charge. Any ideas? What do you charge for yours?

It's your neighbor. Just give the fertilized eggs away.

If I dont have to mail them(pickup only), my Barred Rocks will go for about $7/doz. My Blue Orpingtons go for $1 per egg, up to $10 for one dozen. If I provide a doz mixed breed eggs, which may contain some pure Barred Rocks, I would charge $5.

EDITED TO ADD: If it's your neighbor, you could just sell them for the price of regular eggs or give them away, too. Your choice.

Yeah, I was thinking I would just give them to her, but then I was wondering if that was crazy because fertilized eggs usually cost a bunch or something.

I would just give them the eggs. You never know when you will need a favor from a neighbor.

Yep...i would give them to a neighbor (who knows, one day you might want to borrow their tractor, car, truck, bbq, wife, horse, cat, toilet seat etc)
