My 12 chics are now laying like crazy. We get 10 to 12 eggs a day. I have given eggs to family and close friends. I don't want the remaining eggs that are not consumed to go to waste. How much would one ask for a dozen free range brown eggs?

I'd check the grocery & see what they're bringing there, then up it a bit 'cause they're fresh. If that don't work, feed 'em to the dog or scramble them & feed 'em back to the chickens.

Good advice about checking your local stores. That will give you a basic price range that people will expect to pay.

I sell mine for 2$ per dozen, but at the farmers market in my mothers (bigger city) town, there is a lady who sells for $8 per dozen, and always sells out. So it depends on your area and how many farms/chicken owners are there.

Good luck!

Depends on your market. If you are rural, and every body has a flock, and is selling eggs, you'll not sell a lot of eggs even if you practically give them away. But, when you get a decent customer base, and they know your product, they will keep coming back. I sell my large eggs for $3, smaller ones for $2. My birds get FF, and during the winter they have sprouts and squash. So, the egg quality is noticeably better than that of flocks who are on winter diet of dry pellet only.
