I actually did a count of my hens and eggs today. They have been locked indoors for a couple days because of the storm...

I am proud to say I picked 6 eggs today. I counted 36 hens...

With numbers like this, I have decided I am qualified to apply for a US Government, and BYC grant to host an online seminar on egg production in the backyard flock.

Anyone wishing to register give me a call..

With any luck I can get your chickens to be just as productive as mine our.....

Next weeks seminar will be uses for old freeloading hens...

Maybe they were depressed over the weather. I prescribe extra mealworms (chicken Xanax) twice a day and see how they feel after a couple of weeks.

Well see then! There’s your problem! Just kidding. It’s really sweet that you have so many older girls. Mine do honestly stop laying sometimes if there’s a bunch of wet weather. Moody girls.

Just means you should expect 30 eggs tomorrow right? ;)

If not you could trade the free loaders in for some dux... I hear some of those out lay chickens :p
