egg production NOT consistent!!!!

Sounds fairly typical. Only my ISA Browns are laying, even then it's sometimes only one or two a day rather than 4, and they are both pullets and hybrids. My Wyandotte will occasionally lay one egg, but between shorter daylight hours and molting many breeds stop laying throughout winter.

Mine stopped laying. I have to buy eggs from the market. my flock gives me only 2 eggs a week!:barnie:hit

Ok. Well that sounds good. All I can say is some time on here they say to lay off the higher protein layer in the winter. But. That is a personal choice. I have been giving 18%due to the cold temperatures. And I know they eat more. I suppose on here some will say one. Some will say other. If you can get @Eggcessive. @sourland snd there’s another lady with a peacock. It’s like catasporty. I always forget. But they are experts
I do an all-flock feed with 20% protein, helps with molting and good for both the fellas and ladies. Carbs are needed more in winter, so any food or treats just needs a good dose of that.

this was a usual 10 day load of fresh laid eggs from my hens.... usual, but not now!
