Egg production stopped!

How about water consumption? That was a problem for us last year. I started putting out lots of fresh, cool water for the girls when I get home from work & let them out. It turned our lack of egg production around.

six layers...3 buckeys and 3 RIR's. All late spring hatches from last year that just started laying this spring. One of the Buckeyes was broody, but that has since stopped. The dynamics of the coop have changed...as well as adding the 6 orpington pullets, we also removed three buckeyes (was six) that we got for someone else in the early spring with ours. I'm starting to think it's a combination of the addition of new birds, the subtraction of existing birds...and the unwelcome highs in the 90's!

They have been pounding the water...nearly 2 gallons a day....albeit much less than my turkeys...lol Feed consumption has went down a bit, but I chalk that up to the high temps...I don't really feel like eating either....however, they are still eating plenty.

Think I'll just keep an eye on them to make sure it's not a larger problem. Thanks all!
