Egg production

I'm looking for recommendations of chicken breeds with high egg production. All the research I have done hasn't been very productive. What breeds lay the most in your flock? Of course I love chickens and don't plan to pump as many eggs out of them as I can, I would just like to keep my flock on the small side while still getting a decent amount of eggs. Thanks!!

As long as you don’t want a fluffy cuddly pet, IMO you can’t beat a White Leghorn.

But, where are you located? That might help whether you need and heat or cold tolerant chicken.

Hybrids would be first. They’re consistent layers for their first 2 years and come in all sorts of sizes, colours, egg colours, but they are prone to laying issues.

Then would be common well productive breeds like Leghorns, Rhode Island Red, Plymouth Rocks, Sussex, Australorps. Wyandottes are supposed to be good layers too.
