We got into chickens in the late summer, we got 1 rooster & 11 hens....recently we discovered we have a second rooster that only half crows... the most we ever got was 3 eggs, 1 egg consistently, sometimes 2. We brought home 3 Rhode Island Reds that were all laying, the first day with the new hens 6 eggs, now we are back down to 1 egg a day. They get laying mash & cracked corn, whatever the horses toss out of the pans & what ever food scraps they can fight the barn cats for. Free roam of the pastures during the day & they all go in the coop at night...What can we do to get them to lay? & to get the ones RIR that we just got to lay again? Thanks in advance!!!
