I’m still learning about hatching eggs! Egg 1: Does this crack mean it isn’t likely to develop? Egg 2: Is this a porous egg? Are they bad for hatching too?

Thank you 😊

Is that a crack or just thinner spots in the shell? The problem with cracks is dehydration and bacterial infiltration, sealing with nail polish, glue or wax can decrease those risks, the crack won’t affect development except via those two issues. The other egg is actually the moon, I’m really excited to see what hatches (yes, a joke!). Porous eggs have a higher chance (probably single digits) of bacterial infiltration and breakage, but are still very hatchable.
