So I have 12 ISA chickens. I read that they were possibly Leghorn (white) and Red Barred Rock mixes. Reason I am asking is that a few of my eggs have been really light beige to one almost creamy white. Any info would be great. My black sex link lays a beige egg. On the egg count. 11 out of 13!!!

What exactly does "sex link" mean in regards to breed.

They’re not a breed, but a hybrid, a purposeful mix. Anyone can make a red sex link by breeding a red rooster over a silver hen, you hatch red females/white males. The hybridised RSL also have the benefit of a higher egg yield, though they do suffer a lot from reproductive issues. RSL tend to have a variety of different names (Bovan, Lohman, ISA, Red Star etc) depending on the breeds used and where they were bred.
