Egg question

Today when I woke up and let the geese out of there house, but Amelia didn't come out then she laid and egg! I was so happy and I retrieved it but now I'm not sure if I should eat it. What if it's fertilized, i don't want to eat a gosling what should I do, I just put the egg in the frig.
