Egg questions?

Ok....so, we just had a chicken lay abnormally small and oval egg .....it looks really creepy...any ideas? We have a little bantam Silkie it could,ve been? its about an inch long.

Would this be the first egg from your silkie? It's not abnormal to have smaller eggs to start with until they get into the routine of laying.
