I found 3 eggs today on a chair in the yard -silly bird. What is your rule of thumb for eating unrefrigerated eggs? I already cracked them open and they look/smell fine. I didn't know about the float test until it was too late. The eggs are certainly all from the same hen. Its been about 65-70 F during the day here.

I'd eat them if I knew for sure they were less than 4-5 days old. They keep better than store bought eggs.

The eggs I eat myself i don't refrigerate. It stay fresh for weeks. When i grew up my mom never refrigerate the eggs. She said that it would take the freshness from the eggs and she did not wash it either.
