Egg Shell Colour

I have a Cuckoo Maran that normally lays dark brown medium size eggs, in the last week or two her egg colour has lightened a lot, the eggs are fine.
Now today she laid an egg and it was back to her normal colour, I'm not worried but curious, any ideas?

Maybe she was running low on paint in the sprayer haha

Some variance in egg color and patterning is normal. Think of it as a printer cartridge that glitches sometimes.
