Egg shell in umbilical area

I was checking my 1 week old chicks bottoms yesterday and discovered that one chick has a piece of egg shell in its skin where it's umbilical knot should be. What should I do? Also what's the best way to clean the poo to keep cake butt away?

Warm water to clean the poo. maybe a small dab of vaseline or mineral oil to keep it from sticking. A small amount of ACV in the water should help stop the runny poo. As for the egg shell don't try to pull it off, the chick could end up bleeding to death.
