I have a barred rock, just started laying and layed 2 small eggs(nice ones) and two double yolkers (very nice ones).. She is lethargic and has NOT layed an egg for 3 days and today saw her push out a small rubbery egg in run, and other 9 hens ate it too quickly for me to get it out. I have a flock of 10 hens, 4 gold comets, 3 white leghorns, and 3 barred rocks, for a total of 10 new pullets raised this spring. The other 2 barred rocks have not layed any eggs yet, but the 4 golden comets, and the 3 white leghorns lay almost every day, very nice eggs, small to start, but very nice eggs now. What should I do? She is young 20 weeks old and just started laying and has laying crumbles feed, oyster shell and even some grit available, and I have been feeding them some scraps from garden, tomatoes, small ones, cuckes, lettuce etc. They have an 6 ft by 8 ft run. I also feed them vitamen water..??? Whats wrong

Can you describe the rubbery egg more? She could have a serious laying issue involved

The egg was dropped in the run, and looked like very small with membrane and it opened when hit the ground as she was standing when the egg was dropped out. and other chickens got to it before i could. Today, i got a normal egg from the same chicken???
