'Egg size', 'Egg quantity' traits come from Rooster or Hen?

Hello everyone!
Is there a general rule for the egg laying traits? Which trait comes from the father and which from mother?
I have a local breed GOLDEN (local name) which lays 180-220 medium eggs per year, and another MISRI (local name) which lays 220-260 small eggs.
I want to cross breed them in a way that I can get 220-260 medium eggs from the cross. Which breed should the rooster be and from which should be the hens? I have to buy them within 2 days, any experience/knowledge will be highly apreciated. Thankyou.

I don't think it matters, I think it's half from each parent's side.

Yes it matters.

The rooster transfers quantity (ability) to his daughters. Thus, the rooster should come from the breed which lays the most eggs.

Understand though that it is not as simply as it looks on paper. Crossing two breeds does not necessarily mean you will see an increase in production.

@ Saladin: It makes more sense as a cross between my Aseel rooster and Golden hens resulted in a breed that lays very less eggs as the Aseel breed.
and I understand that it is not as straight forward. Experimentation required I guess.
