Egg Size Variance

I have a Hyline Hen that has just started laying, her first 2 eggs were Large with a wight speckle...her 3rd however was MUCH smaller and was a slightly darker colour. Is a variance like that quite common or should i investigate?

Very normal to find inconsistencies with new layers: varied egg size, quality, inconsistent timing between eggs, etc.
