Egg size

I have a Black Australorp hen who just started laying. I also have Silkies who have been laying for about a month now.

This is my typical Silkie egg that I get daily.

This "mystery" egg showed about a week ago. I have one Silkie hen who is really small so I figured it was hers. But last night I saw my BA hen go up to the nest and lay what I thought was her first egg.

Do you guys think the two brown eggs are from my BA hen? And I read that Black Australorps are supposed to lay large eggs but her egg/s are smaller then my Silkies. Will her eggs get larger as she grows?

Small eggs are very common at first so it could very well be the BA and if so, they'll get large. Ours lays dark brown eggs.

Pullet eggs are small...they will get bigger maybe in a week or few.......or it could take months.

I sure hope her eggs get bigger. The one she laid yesterday was the smallest egg yet!

I just want some eggs...my older girls are molting and only one pullet is laying yet.
Am rationing my customers....looking forward to making up some 'pullet dozens'.
6 regular 'adult' eggs and the rest of the weight made up with pullet eggs.
