Egg size

I was wondering about how long bantam eggs are. My game eggs are around 2 inches from end to end. I thought little pickled banty eggs would be fun!

My Silkies eggs were about the third of the size of a large egg. So nine would make breakfast for three people.

I wonder what breed lays the smallest egg.

Some banty breeds might lay smaller than others, but here's a pic of my Dutch bantam eggs vs a standard size large egg. If you want a small egg to pickle, try button quail or maybe other quail varieties. I have lots of recipes!!
