I had to put these two eggs into incubation after one got crack at the tip, when two hens tried to brood them and got into a fight. I sealed over the crack and they've developed normally, but starting last night the cracked egg began to split length wise. This is right at the time they should be hatching, and the chick must be moving because the split has been widening. But there isnt any pip hole yet, and no sound from the chick. The membrane seem completely intact from what I can see; I'm trying not to handle it unless absolutely needed.
(I moved the egg onto a piece of paper because I was worried about towel fibers sticking to the membrane)
What do you think?
