So I was wanting to date stamp my eggs for when i give to friends and family they will know how long they are counter-stable. I was looking at food grade ink when i saw this site. Anyone have thoughts on this? Seems over-cautious but i can't find anything else out there on the topic about not using rubber stamps on the eggs....

that's what i was thinking. if we keep them on counter wouldn't the bloom keep out anything from the rubber? i guess i could see if you washed them first...

You could stamp the date the eggs were laid,
but I would not attempt to estimate "how long they are counter-stable".

They are covering their asses (CYA).
I can understand their not wanting to put themselves in a liability situation.
