Egg Stash???

My mamas were fine with the other birds going in and out of the coop while they were laying on eggs. A lot of time, they would have their boyfriend standing guard with them. I'm surprised your pretty little girl is sitting on so few eggs, though......they usually don't go broody until there's a clutch of 30-40 eggs. Maybe she's just giving it a test-run to see how things are done! lol

Yea I've seen her about in the yard so I'm thinking she's just trying it out, 30-40 you say? Oh my, I'm thinking I have maybe two, if not the one lady, not sure how long it'll take em to get that many. And if they do wait that long to get broody, the eggs are fine just sitting there till they reach that many? I'm planning on moving the coop next month so I'm hoping she waits for a bit till shes actually ready. And when she was sittin she did have her boyfriend there who just stared at me, some protector
