im wondering how long can turkey eggs be stored before you cant hatch them any more is there a time limit ? my stepfather has a couple turkeys and they lay a egg a day and when they get about 15 the get broody and lay so im thinking 15 days ;/ i don't know any advise ??? i am hoping to get about 15 before i stick them in the incubator the reason i don't want the turkey to get broody because its been hot here like 108degrees plus

I don't know for sure myself, but I would say 15 days would be ok. I store my chicken eggs in the house in cartons until I have enough and I flip the cartons a few times a day. The turning is the part that we didn't get right with some of our early hatches (we didn't think to do it) and we had low hatch rates. Turning them greatly improved things

Hope this helps

If you store them at 50-60 deg and rotate the eggs twice daily you can store them up to 10 days and still get good hatch rates after the tenth day the hatch rate starts to drop off by day 20 or so you have almost zero hatch rate.

I store ours in the cool basment..runs about 60 degree's and the humidity is also about 60-65%..
after 7 days i also exercise the eggs by moving them in a carton end to end three times a day.. Ive stored and hatched eggs as old as 14 days and had 100% hatch rates at times.. but for the most part 10 to 12 days of a storage is best only..

I agree with Wilds - keeping them cool and turning them lets you keep them for awhile and still hatch good.

Look at a turkey hen that lays an egg a day or every other day until they get a clutch of 20 or so eggs and hatches out most of them.
