egg stuck??

Can an egg get stuck? My favorite chicken is missing some feathers on her butt and I don't know why. I thought maybe she has an egg stuck. What should I do?:

soak her bum in warm water, put her in a dark place with food and water and wait a few days

You could try some mineral oil around her vent and try to gently feel for the egg by pressing in her abdomen. I lost a chicken last fall due to this within 24 hours. Do the best you can for her.
