Egg turned during popping?

Howdy! So, I noticed one of my free range hens setting on some eggs a few days ago...
I went out there to candle them just now and picked up TWO that were pipping! I put them back under the hen but now I’m concerned that they won’t be in the right position to hatch!
Should I be too concerned?

I wouldn't. Unless you were very rough with them and jarred them around they should be ok

I wouldn't recommend handling pipped eggs, but I know some ppl who do, and they don't usually have issues. The fact that they pipped is a very good sign in of itself.

Right! I didn’t expect for them to be that far along! I’ve seen my hen everyday and didn’t think anything of it. I guess we get chicks in January!

Good luck with your hatch and post pics of the babies when you can! Broody hens with chicks are adorable.
