My turkey started to lay eggs out of season. I collected and replaced the eggs as they were laid with fake eggs. When the clutch was complete I put the turkey eggs in my incubator. Recently I noticed the egg turner was not working. 11 of 12 eggs proved to be developing when candled even though they had not been turned. So for 12 days the turkey eggs had not been turned correctly. I'm turning them now but wonder what to expect when the turkeys hatch. Anyone have this problem?

Turning helps the development of the eggs, especially early in incubation. But not turning is not a definite death sentence. Your hatch rate may suffer or it may not. All you can do is continue.

The kinds of problems you could have are deformed chicks or the embryo settles against the shell and gets stuck. Just because these can happen does not mean they will. Don't give up hope. Let us know how it goes.

Thank you for your post. It is as I expected. Thanks again.
